We drove outside of Roscommon town to Fuerty Church and Abbey. This barn was across the road from the church and made a lovely scene with the tulips blooming and the vivid green grass.
I love to photograph the world that I live in...be it at home in my own backyard or during my travels. I also enjoy manipulating photographs to create works of art that allow me to share memories of places I have been.

Lorna, thanks for the info. When we visited we were the only ones around so there wasn't anyone to ask questions. We loved that area!

Hi i came across your website and saw of furety, co. Roscommon. I am familiar with the area as i have family roots and i note that the picture posted as being an old barn. In fact this building is not not a barn but formally a working forge servicing a wide area of farmers and horsemen (blacksmiths) and making all iron horse shoes.
