Artist's Description
Tromp L'oeil deceives the eye on the exterior of this hotel in La Petite France. The sundial and columns are nothing more than an illusion to make you believe they are dimensional elements - but they are really just clever painting to trick the eye. If you didn't know any better, at first glance you would just assume they were real architectural details of this sixteenth century dwelling.
